Welcome to the opening of the museum-apartment of family of I. Franko in Kyiv

On Friday, November 25, at 12 p.m. is the scheduled date of opening of apartment-museum of Ivan Franko’s family in c. Kyiv (48 A Volodymyrska Str., apt. 15).

The museum is founded upon the initiative of Roland, the grandson of Ivan Franko. It is located in the apartment of forced deportation of Taras Franko’s (his father’s) family from Lviv in 1949 by the Soviet authorities.

The event will include the presentation of the apartment-museum, which partly reflects the family life of Taras Franko; there are represented the furniture, documents and works of Taras, Zinovia, Daria and Roland Franko. There will also be an exhibition dedicated to Ivan Franko’s children: Andrew, Peter, Taras and Ann, whose life is connected with Kyiv.

Guests can also visit an exhibition of art works by Taras Franko (son of Ivan Franko), see the photographs, manuscripts and documents from the family archive and personally talk to the grandson of the Great Kamenyar – Roland.
