A lecture of the Laureate of Ivan Franko International Prize took place at the University of Banking of the National Bank of Ukraine on November 03, 2016. Since Lubomyr Huzar could not arrive to the event due to his health condition,   an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Director of the National Academy of

Sciences of Ukraine, Professor, Head of the International Institute of Applied Mathematics and Basic Sciences, National University “Lviv Polytechnic” Stepan Pavliuk, read the lecture at will of the Blessed.

Recall that according to the PROVISION on Ivan Franko International Prize, within six months after being awarded the Prize,  winner shall deliver a lecture – a popular presentation of the contents of the research paper, which was awarded the Prize.

The first winner of the Prize in 2016, i.e., became Archbishop-Emeritus and of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Cardinal of the Catholic Church  His Beatitude Lubomyr Husar  in nomination  “For significant personal contribution to the development of social and humanitarian sciences”  for the monograph “Andrey Sheptytsky Galician Metropolitan (1901-1944), a forerunner of ecumenism”.
