Ivan Franko International Prize

The mission of Ivan Franko International Prize is to present Ukraine to the world with knowledge and public diplomacy. The Prize is awarded in two nominations: “For Significant Achievements in the Field of Ukrainian Studies” and “For Significant Achievements in the Field of Social and Human Sciences”. The prize is annually awarded on August 27 – on the birthday of Ivan Franko. The winners of the Prize are awarded with a money reward and a gold medal of the Laureate.
Prize winners of previous years:
– in 2016 – Archbishop Emeritus, former head of the UGCC Liubomyr Huzar;
– in 2017 in the nomination “For Significant Achievements in the Field of Ukrainian Studies” – Professor of the Institute of Slavic Studies of the University of Vienna, Michael Moser;
– in 2017 in the nomination “For Significant Achievements in the Field of Social and Human Sciences” – Honored Professor of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Academician Oleg Shabliy.

Your funds will be channeledinto establishment of a Premium Fund, pay for expert scholars and scholarships pay and cover the expenses connected with participation of expert scholars in jury meeting in Vienna (Austria) and a Laureate Award Ceremony in Drohobych, Ukraine.
